Hello

My name is Jonny Findlay. I moved to Whanganui in 2017 with my now wife, Kim, and we bought a house here to put down some roots in this beautiful city. We have called this place home for many years now, and want to contribute to the growth and prosperity of this city and its people, which has given so much back to us.

I have worked for many years in a communication and business-development industry. My skills centre around clear and consistent communication, as we'll as project management, and a solution-focused mindset. I have endless experience in taking a project from a concept / initial discussion, all the way through to final completion, to a high standard.

I have multiple rental properties throughout Whanganui and have completed many renovations on them, from small bathroom re-models, to whole-home renovations where I have transformed uninhabitable properties to high-quality family homes. I have added bedrooms to many properties, re-roofed and re-wired a few, and have gone as far as constructing a brand new 3 bedroom duplex.

I started Ezibuild as when I did the first few renovations, while working my day job, I found it incredibly tough and time-consuming. It was hard to manage the renovations while working, and navigating family commitments. After doing multiple of these and getting a good team under me, I gained the experience to be able to complete them comfortably and to a high standard. These days, completing a whole-home renovation is a breeze. I use this experience to make your project run smoothly.

I still remember the frustration of the early days, and realise many people are in this situation currently. It can be daunting to start a renovation, and hard to know where to start and who to contact, all while ensuring you're not getting taken advantage of.  I started my business for these people. We all hear the horror stories (and I have experienced a few personally) of dodgy workers, tradesmen that don't show up, and uncertified work. My business will prevent all of these scenarios. I have carefully selected professional, qualified and respectable sub-contractors. I will not keep any one on my team who does not fit this requirement.
